anti aging ....

The anti aging quest of both women and men reflects the human desire to prolong life. Anti aging skin care for improving appearance or hormones, supplements for total body regeneration ...
Antioxidants
As you process food for energy, your body produces substances called free radicals. Free radicals are believed to contribute to aging and certain diseases.
To neutralize free radicals, your body uses antioxidants certain vitamins, minerals and enzymes that come from the food you eat. Some research suggests that antioxidants can prevent chronic diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes.

Green Tea Extract
What makes green tea extract such an important nutrient are the large volumes of published scientific findings that validate its benefits. The active constituents in green tea are powerful antioxidants called polyphenols (catechins) and flavonols.
One cup of green tea may provide 10-40 mg of polyphenols and has antioxidant effects that are greater than a serving of broccoli, spinach, carrots, or strawberries. Theoretically, green tea extract is an anti aging substance.

Lipoic Acid
This is a highly potent antioxidant that counteracts free radicals in the mitochondria, the power plants of cells where energy for all cellular activities is generated. Some scientists believe that mitochondrial free radicals play an important role in human aging, and have theorized that extra amounts of free-radical inhibiting compounds may be good anti aging weapons.

Other antioxidants you may know about include:
Vitamin A
Vitamin B-6
Vitamin B-12
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Beta carotene
Folic acid
Selenium
The best way to give your body antioxidants is to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables. If you can't obtain all the nutrients you need from food, your doctor may recommend using supplements to make up for any deficiencies.
The bottom line is that adding a few servings of antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables to your diet will certainly improve your health and even help with anti aging.

Hormones
Hormones are chemicals created by your body to help keep your vital organs working properly. because some hormone levels decline naturally as you age, some people believe this decline is responsible for the aging process.
Hormone supplements you might have heard of include:
DHEA.
Testosterone.

Melatonin.
Human growth hormone (HGH)
There is no convincing medical evidence to prove that these hormone supplements provide anti aging benefits. And they each have side effects. For instance, even short-term use of DHEA or testosterone may cause liver damage.

Calorie Restriction
Of the various approaches to slow down the aging process, calorie restriction is considered the gold standard.
Hundreds of studies have confirmed the effectiveness of Calorie restriction in a wide variety of species. While the effectiveness of this antiaging regimen is likely far greater than others currently available, the difficulty of the regimen for most people is also far greater.
Reducing the number of calories you eat may be a good way to lose weight, but restricting your diet to the point that you aren't getting enough nutrients is dangerous. Calorie restriction can lead to malnutrition and severe weight loss.
What you can do to live a long and healthy life
Aging is a very complex process that involves many areas of your body. There is no single product, pill or substance which could cure all of the ills of aging. Your best avenue for a long and healthy life is to keep yourself healthy and prevent
chronic diseases by:

Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables
Maintain a healthy weight
Exercise every day
Seek prompt medical care when you're ill or injured
Use sunscreen
Quit smoking and avoid secondhand smoke
Get screened for diseases such as cancer and heart disease
Maintain close ties to your friends and family

keep your nails beautiful

When you write down your shopping list, as you punch a phone number into your cell, while you wash dishes, do the ironing, clean the windows, or do one hundred other things that women do on any given day do you take notice of the condition of your nails?
Our hands are such an integral part of our daily lives, and constantly, we risk their health and strength, often without even noticing, because of the hustle and bustle of our day-to-day activities. Take a few moments each day, or at least a few times a week, to monitor the condition of your nails the color, the texture, the appearance of ridges or white marks.

Make a greater effort to take good care of your nails, and you will be thrilled with the way they complement your wardrobe and your own personal style. Consider the following tips as a way to enhance the health and quality of your nails.
Great, Healthy Nails

Apply speed-dry nail polish when time is of the essence.
Drink lots of water. Keep your body hydrated everyday to maintain healthy nails.
Fortify your diet with FDA approved vitamins or supplements. Your fingernails count on you to be responsible with your health and your diet. Unless instructed otherwise by your physician, increase your daily doses of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, calcium, folic acid, protein, Vitamin B12, and zinc.

Touch up your manicure on a daily basis to prevent chips and cracks.
Your nails depend on you to maintain a healthy diet. Take in lots.
Nail polish tips:

Try not to store nail polish in a room that becomes cold. The nail polish bottles may break without warning, leaving you with a big mess.
To avoid breaking nails or brittle nails:

Avoid using your nails as tools. This means no picking, scratching, digging, pinching, etc. You know who you are!

Quick way to handle your hands care

LOVE YOUR HANDS

Hands are the most visible parts of you, but they also take a lot of abuse. You use them in everyday activity, and yet, they are the ultimate accessory. You must give them the same attention you give your face.
* Soften your hands even while you do the dishes. Add a little almond oil (about a teaspoon) to dishwater. The water will soften rought skin while the oil seals the moisture.

* Slough off dead skin cells with a solution made of sea salt lemon. Brush it into hands with an old toothbrush. Do this twice a week to soften hands and remove discoloration.
* Wash hands thoroughly with warm water, then, using a coarse washcloth, rub briskly. While skin is slightly damp, apply a mixture of one teaspoon honey and one teaspoon olive oil. Place hands in small plastic bags, then in a pair of cotton gloves for thirty minutes. The heat helps the treatment penetrate.

* Warm a cup of milk in the microwave for thirty seconds (or until warm, but comfortable to the touch). Soak your hands for five minutes to strengthen nails and hydrate skin. Not only is milk loaded with lactic acid, a natural alpha hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates dead skin, but its high calcium content will strengthen fragile nails.

prevent from acne problem

Acne

Acne is a term thats used to describe whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples. (You may well recognize slang terms like spots, or zits). Most teenagers get the type of acne called acne vulgaris, which can show up on the face, neck, shoulders, back, and chest. Skin pores contain oil glands which naturally lubricate your skin and hair. But sometimes if a pore gets clogged beneath the skin with excess oil and bacteria, the dreaded acne is caused...
Whiteheads happen when a pore gets clogged, closes, and then bulges out. If a pore gets clogged but stays open, the top may darken and you've got a blackhead. A pimple happens when dead skin and bacteria work their way under live skin. This leads to a small infection that makes your skin look red. Get glowing!

What Causes Acne?
Although everyone is different, acne is usually caused by the build up of oil and dead skin in a pore. This build up of oil and dead skin is caused because of:
Natural hormones. These are particularly active in your teens.
Plugged skin. Lots of skin cells can close the oil glands or pores, creating blackheads or whiteheads, (as mentioned earlier).
Bacteria. Bacteria can easily infect oil glands and pores and grow very quickly.
Family background. If you have acne, your kids are more likely to have it too.

How To Reduce An Acne Problem
You shouldnot squeeze, pick, scratch, or rub your skin as it makes the problem worse, and it might even cause scarring.
Regularly shampoo your hair, and try to keep it off your face if possible - especially at night.
Keep a food diary to work out if you are one of the few people whose acne gets worse if they eat certain things.
Exercise regularly to get the old blood flowing, and make sure you get a wash as soon after as possible.
Avoid unnecessarily touching your face.
If possible, try to minimize your stress levels.
Avoid getting sunburned.
Change your wash cloth every day, as bacteria can grow on damp cloth.
Wash your face twice a day with a gentle soap like Dove or Lever 2000.
Always rinse really well with lots of water.
Only wear makeup on special occasions, and then make sure you remove it completely.
Granular facial scrub can make acne worse by aggravating the skin.
Medication For Extreme Cases

Oral antibiotics
Oral antibiotics have a high success rate, and can be safely used for up to a year. It can take up to six months to fully take effect, but there should be a noticeable difference within six weeks. Oral Antibiotics include erythromycin, minocycline and tetracycline

Antibacterial cream
Benzoyl peroxide kills the bacteria which causes inflammation. It is available over the counter in 2.5%, 5% and 10% creams and lotions. It is available in gels in the same percentages but only by prescription. Clinically, theres not much difference between the effectiveness of the various strengths and types used.
NOTE: Unfortunately, there can be some side effects of the use of Benzyol peroxide, including hypersensitivity, irritation, and contact dermatitis (although these are very rare). Remember to always keep Benzoyl peroxide away from clothing as it has a bleaching effect.

WOW EYE MAKE UP

LOOK BEAUTIFUL WITH PERFECT EYE MAKEUP
No matter if blue, brown, hazel or green, eyes have been referred to as windows to the soul, giving those who exchange glances the power to better grasp ones personality and emotions. Eyes reveal joy and elation as much as they uncover sadness, melancholy and distress.

Sometimes pensive, mischievous or mysterious, eyes can let us in on little secrets we might otherwise miss in dealings with people we know and love.
Eyes can exercise a special power of seduction by casting an enchanting gaze in anothers direction. A wink can signal a special understanding or remind another of an inside joke or amusing memory. Eyes also key into flirtation a great deal. Cartoons and old movies always show the femme fatales batting their long, dark eyelashes in an attempt to attract the men.

No matter what your motives, playing up the looks of your eyes will bring a natural definition to your facial features while accentuating perhaps the most distinguishing characteristic on your visage. The main makeup components you may want to consider when dressing up your pretty peepers are mascara - eye shadow and possibly eyeliner, though sometimes pressed powder or a light foundation will work wonders for circles under the eyes.
Eye Shadow
Depending on the hues you wish to use, you can get a little colorful and creative with the wide selection of products for eyelids on the market. No longer do you have to sift through dozens of shades of eye shadow powder looking for the perfect blend now you can accessorize your eyes with a beautiful array of powders .Traditional eye shadow powders are very easy to use with small applicator brushes and foam pads. For a dimensional look, blend two colors of powder or one color of powder atop a cream

shadow base.
With cream-based eye shadows, less really is more. The cream shadows generally come in small squeeze tubes that really enhance the look of your eyes with a light application across the lid, reaching up to your brows if you wish.
Mascara
When selecting mascara, many factors come into play, with each brands newest addition to the line claiming bigger and better benefits. From thickening to lengthening to blackest black, waterproof and curling, each mascara product has a special offering of its own. Considering your own lashes, choose one that best suits your needs.
If you wish to avoid that scary-looking metal eyelash curler that appears more like an ancient torture devise, opt for a product that contains a curling formula. Choose the color you want to wear - black, brown or even navy blue. With so many options available, you can add a couple types of mascara to your collection and change your look as often as you like!

Generally, applying two coats of mascara will give enough definition to lashes to really make a difference. Allow the first coat to dry before applying the second in an effort to prevent clumping. If some of the mascara accidentally brushes onto your eyelids or underneath, simply use a q-tip to remove it. This may necessitate touching up your eye shadow a bit.

Eyeliner
To really define your eyes, apply a thin line of eyeliner in black or brown, khaki, plum or navy. To properly apply the eyeliner pencil or liquid liner, gently pull the corner of your eye outward, forming a straight line along your lashes. Starting at the inside corner and working toward the outside, delicately trace a line with the pencil angled toward your lashes.
Be careful how much eyeliner you apply, as a little really does go a long way. For a dramatic look, thicker and darker is very acceptable. For a subtle definition, stick with a lighter application.

care your lips

Lip Care Catalog - Caring for your Lips

Lips are one of the best facial indicators of a person's true age. For years, women have tried injecting various substances into their lips to achieve a plump, youthful appearance. Your lips are the most important and exquisitely sensitive part of your body. And therefore you have to take special care of your lips.

Soft, smooth lips are the natural asset of a lady. Being the prominent erotic centre they have enough literature poetically composed on them. But lack of care and not keeping your mouth clean often results in incrustations formed over the lips. It is chiefly because the upper layer of our lips is very thin with neither any gland or pores to keep them automatically soft and smooth. So in summers or when your body is hot-particularly when your liver is not functioning well- you find your lips rough, dry and encrusted. The best way to keep them soft and smooth is to apply a little of honey early in the morning. In case they are dry due to digestive disorder, go for a regular treatment.
The best way to kiss dry, chapped lips goodbye is with a little gentle exfoliation and moisturising.
Always use moisturizer lotion on lips during winter months to insure soft lips.
To get natural pink lips apply beetroot juice before bed. Use a lip care product as part of a daily regimen to moisturize your lips and maintain their healthy condition.
Avoid over-exposure to the sun, which can dry your lips the way it dries the rest of you. If you spend a lot of time outdoors, we suggest a 'triple' lipstick, with moisturisers and sunscreen built right in.

Stop smoking. Turn up the moisture before you turn out the lights. Give your lips a touch of clear, rich moisture at bedtime. Do it each night, and you'll wake up to softer lips in no time at all! (Special tip: If you don't have lip balm, eye cream makes an effective, gentle lip moisturiser.)

Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables »»
Drinking plenty of water to prevent dehydration.
If your lips are prone to dryness and cracking, check out a daily maintenance product.
Check that your lipsticks contain condition-enhancing ingredients, especially if you use long-lasting lipsticks, which tend to dry out lips.
To help remove flakes from dry lips, use a soft toothbrush, and gently brush across your lips. Whenever you are exposed to especially drying conditions, whether due to harsh outdoor elements or a dry indoor environment, use a lip care product that seals in natural moisture and seals out the drying forces.
To stop lips from chapping due to dry lip sticks, use a very slight base of vaseline before applying the lipstick. Grind rose petals and apply on lips to get smooth pink lips If you sunbathe, be sure to use a lip balm with sufficient sunscreen. Remember to moisturise lips after soaking up the rays. (Special tip: lip balms with camphor are designed to help lips that need healing. For effective moisturising, choose a balm without camphor, or use a clear lip gloss.)
Home Made Recipe for lip Care For a relaxing, at-home boost to your lips, mash a quarter of a ripe papaya until it makes a juicy paste. Then, lie down on a towel and apply a generous amount to the lips and the skin around the lips. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, rinse it off and apply lip balm. Papaya contains exfoliating enzymes and can help to soften and refine lip lines.

Winter Lip Care »»
Lips tend to dry out the fastest at this time of year. Be sure to keep them covered with a good lip balm applied several times during the day. Warm sesame oil will also soothe your lips . Avoid licking your lips and don't bite the skin on the surface of your lips. The skin will never have a chance to heal if you chew on it. This is a hard habit to break but well worth the effort. Lip balms are now commonly available with an SPF factor as well to protect them from the harmful rays

EASTRN BRIDAL

Bridal Makeup Tips »»

Makeup is surprisingly often an overlooked item when planning your dream shaadi.
Brides always focus on planning their outfits, jewellery, hair and mehndi but don't realise that, to look amazingly stunning on their wedding day they really need to have good makeup applied by a professional. Bridal make up by its very nature is a unique requirement and your make up regime for the big day needs careful thought and consideration.

My personal approach to make-up for brides is one of corrective, subtle make-up that enhances the bride's best features and makes her look naturally radiant and beautiful on her big day.
The first thing people notice when they look at a bride - is how stunning and radiant she looks, not her makeup itself. In fact make - up that is too obvious can look overdone and artificial so understated and sophisticated elegance is the name of the game!

When it comes to applying bridal makeup, there is a correct sequence and technique to follow as well as a preparatory stage to ensure that you will be looking your absolute best.
Selection and advice on the best and most appropriate products, colours and styles is also imperative.
What works for you in your day to day use or for other special occasions will not necessarily make you look your best on your big day! This kind of in depth knowledge can only come .

Skin & Eyebrows »»
The first thing to get right is your skin and eyebrows would recommend you a series of facials in the run up to your wedding (that is if you don't already have regular facials) Start a few months before the wedding as it is common for your skin to break out and get worse before it gets better after a facial if you haven't had one for a long time. (Something to do with getting all the impurities out) Treat yourself to one a month for four months before the big dayyour last one should be at least a few days before your wedding, to give your skin time to settle down. Eyebrows should be kept in shape regularly and shaped the day before the d-day if possible. On the morning of your wedding, make sure your skin is well moisturised about ten minutes before applying your make-up. I always recommend that you have your hair done after your Make-up. The next stage is to have your foundation applies. Remember that for the photographs you must take extra care when using light reflective foundation and

concealer.

A lot of brides pile on layers of foundation underneath the eye, in the misunderstanding that it is a concealer, when actually, it's job is to "put light" in to dark areasDon't do it! You may look good to the naked eye, but it will show up too white in your photos and you could look like you have puffy eye bags!
It is not saying to steer clear of subtle light reflecting foundations; in fact they are great for giving the appearance of dewy, youthful skin. Steer very clear of shimmery bronzers and blushers thoughIf you want to use a bronzer, use a matt one and use it very subtly, softly over your cheeks, bridge of your nose, top on your forehead, where you would naturally catch the sunbear in mind that your neck should not be too different in colour to your face. (Don't be tempted to try putting bronzer all over your neckyou'll just end up staining your lengha!)

Eyes »»
For your eyes, you can't go wrong with matt makeup with slight shimmering shadows. You should usually use a combination of colours to compliment the Brides outfit. A soft black eyeliner, (No browns) use black mascara for your wedding day, even if you're very fair and usually go for brown - it'll show up better in your photographs, smudged close to the base of you lashes on your upper lid will make your eyelashes appear thicker and, in conjunction with a little grey or dark brown eye-shadow applied with a thin brush at the base of your lower lashes, will subtly define your eyes perfectly for the photos. Use black WATERPROOF mascara on just about bride , and curl the lashes before applying it. On some occasions you even consider using false eyelashes as this gives more definition over the eyes and looks quite stunning in photographs.

Lips »»
For the bride's lips,Use a colour that will not clash with the bride's eyes and dress and of course her Bouquet Bearing in mind you have already primed your lips when you applied your foundation and powder by putting a suitable balm or moisturiser on them after you have done your base. By the time you are ready for lipstick to be applied, your lips will be in perfect condition-Always leave this to the very last. Use a "Nude" lip pencil over the entire lip before applying the lip colour as it gives extra staying power, apply lip-colour then blot with a tissue and reapply lipstick with a touch of gloss or a more shimmering colour to enhance the shadow of your bottom lip and a slight touch over the top lip.

Finally »»
The most important tip is to allow yourself a good three hours to get ready as this gives your beautician plenty of time to work her magic and make you look stunning. More importantly it will give you some all-important chill out time away from your interfering aunties. Before you make an entrance, a quick check and powder before you leave for the ceremony, and your Dulha will be totally bowled over PLUS you will look fantastic in the photos of your dream shaadi!

we better know about your hair

Regular Care Of Hair
Taking care of hair is in fact much the same as taking care of skin.An effective hair care discipline involves cleansing, toning and conditioning routines carried out with religious regularity.

1.Care Of Oily Hair And Scalp Condition: The principle of care for oily hair and scalp condition is the same as used for oily skin condition. The routine aims at removing the excess oil and to exfoliate skin cells which clogs up and suffocate the hair follicles in our scalp. The emphasis is laid on cleansing and toning routines. Since the hair has to be washed as frequently as it gets dirty and oily, a natural shampoo on a formulation of herbs such as amla, shikakai, trijla is ideal.Massaging hair and scalp is important for the well being as well as good growth of the hair. For dry hair, scalp massaging with oil is recommended. For oily hair massaging with toning lotion is suitable.

Home-made Cosmetics For Oily Hair »»
A.Take some dry soap nuts(reetha) and soak them in water overnight.Mash them in the morning and strain the soapy solution.Add a tsp of shikakai powder and wash your hair. If you are unable to make the shampoo cleanser at home, use this infusion recipe.Prepare it and mix in the shampoo you use.
B.To make the infusion, boil two handful of mint leaves in one and a half glass of water for 20 minutes.Strain the solution and mix in a 300ml bottle of shampoo.

Toning Lotion For Oily Hair » »
Mix a tbsp of Malt Vinegar in a glass of water.Add a pinch of salt in it.Use 2 tbsps of it on your scalp and massage it with your finger tips twice a week.Leave the lotion on for one hour.Rinse with cool water, brush and set your hair.

Care For Dry Hair: »»
Dry hair tends to be thin and rough. It is susceptible to tangles, damage, breakage and split ends. The primary aim is to replenish the oil and the moisture in the hair.

Home-made Cosmetic Care For Dry Hair »»
Below are given few natural recipes that are time-tested.

The Gentle Cleanser »»

BEAUTY TIPS

Cleansing »»
Women who wear make-up should carry out a routine of cleansing, toning and moisturing each evening, as well as washing the face in the morning. Cleansing will remove old make-up and the grime and grease that have been accumulated during the day.

Eyes Right »»
If eyes are the window to your soul, make sure they stand out. Instead of applying that same jet black liquid eye liner on the upper lid of the eye, try something different. Invest in a dark blue eye pencil and line your eyes all around with it.

Water Water »»
Want to lose weight but just can't seem to stop eating? Try drinking at least 2 glasses of water before your meal. Drinking subdues the appetite and tricks your stomach into feeling satisfied with less. You're definitely not starving yourself, and neither are you overeating. Perfect, isn't it?

Steamin' »»
Steam your face once a week to open pores, so it can be cleansed more effectively. Add a few herbs like basil (tulsi) for extra advantage. Don't steam face directly over the burning stove - too hot! Instead, remove the boiling water from the stove and form a tent with your towel

OOOO! »»
Though you can't prevent those tiny lines from forming around your mouth and eyes, you can certainly delay their onset. Try this simple exercise. Stretch your mouth into a wide grin and say 'eee' and then into a circle saying 'ooo'. Oh, and do this in the privacy of your room if you don't want to be shipped to the funny farm.

Soft And Silky »»
For a deep, moisturising skin treatment apply olive oil to your skin once a week. Let it soak in while you take a steamy shower, and blot out the excess with a tissue.

You Better Not Pout! »»
Lipstick applied to dry lips does not last long. Moisturise lips with lip balm or Vaseline and let it get absorbed before applying lipstick. For a final touch, add a bit of glitter to lips. It's dynamite, but do keep it subtle!

Cheating Mother Nature »»
The general rule of thumb is that light colours bring things forwards, while dark colours make them recede. So hide that prominent jawbone by brushing a dark shade over it. You could also brush a dark colour in the hollow of your chin for a flirtatious cleft! Who said you needed plastic surgery?

Ice Ice Baby »»
Keep skin looking young and fresh by splashing your face with ice-cold water. This rejuvenates the skin and delays the onset of wrinkles. (Don't try this if you are prone to broken capillaries.)

Lime N' Lemony »»
For a great shine to hair, squeeze the juice of one lemon into a mug of water and give your hair a final rinse with this mixture, after shampooing. You could also use a tablespoon of vinegar instead of a lemon.

AND SO TO BED »»
Never, ever go to sleep without washing off your make-up. That's a surefire step to a disastrous complexion.

Fun In The Sun »»
The sun's warmth may make you feel good but it's ultraviolet rays over time cause at best, dry wrinkly skin and at worst, skin cancer. Don't step out without loading on that sunscreen. In the summers, avoid stepping out between 12:00 to 2:00 when the sun is at its peak.

Blackheads »»
To remove blackheads, steam for 5 mins and exfoliate immediately.

Shiny & Strong Hairs »»
To make your hair shiny and strong, after taking a shower apply olive oil into damp hair. It will make your hair shiny and much stronger.

Eye Makeup »»
Use foundation on your eyelids before applying eyeshadow. It helps the eyeshadow stay on longer.

acne prone skin »»
Use a gentle soap like Dove for acne prone skin. It makes your skin a lot less oily because its PH balanced.

Clay Mask »»
A Clay Mask works wonders on oily skin!

eyelash curler »»
Use a hair dryer for a few seconds on your eyelash curler.

remove stubborn eye makeup »»
Use petroleum jelly or cold cream to remove stubborn eye makeup. its cheap and it works (even on waterproof mascara).

remove stubborn eye makeup »»
Use petroleum jelly or cold cream to remove stubborn eye makeup. its cheap and it works (even on waterproof mascara).

blotting oily skin »»
Instead of buying expensive oil blotter papers, buy a box of perm papers. Very cheap and works great for blotting oily skin.

reduce redness »»
Spray your face with cold water or stand with your head in the air from the freezer for a few moments to reduce redness.

lighter shades of eyeliner »»
Line deep set eyes with lighter shades of eyeliner to emphasize them!

Drink 8 glasses of water a day and use a moisturiser »»
Nothing ages a person more than worry. Try to be positive and love every day as a new adventure and get joy from all the little things (so many cost nothing). Drink 8 glasses of water a day and use a moisturiser.

Keep lashes smooth »»
Keep lashes smooth and supple by brushing them with petroleum jelly before going to bed at night. It is also a good way to emphasize natural-looking lashes in the daytime.

Lips »»
Apply carmex on your lips before putting on lipgloss or lipstick, it helps it stay on longer, keep it moisturized, and sometimes makes your lips "juicier" looking.
